The Potty Rebellions

The boy's potty trained, but now we have to worry about the (extraordinarily stubborn) girl. It's getting to be the time to potty train again!

bye bye!

Yep, that's Hannah's new thing. Bye bye! :) We were at my mom's house this week, and as my mom left one day, she told Hannah (as she does whenever she leaves) Bye bye Hannah! And Hannah looked at her, grinned, and said "buh-bah", and waved her hand (actually, her whole arm, like she can't figure out how to bend her elbow-LOL) to my mom! And last night she figured out the complexities of clapping. I would clap my hands, grab hers, and clap her hands. She'd then STARE at them for a minute, and SLLLOOOOOOWWWWLLLYYYY put them together. Then would GRIN. She'd clap again, and grin some more. She also can PBTHPBHTPBHT like the best of them. And gets EVERYONE wet when she does that.

Matthew, on the other hand, is being a PAIN now that Tim's gone again. Tim left for 3 weeks on Wednesday, and Matthew has been a royal PITA ever since he left. UGH. It's like he knows Daddy's gone, but can't figure out how to vocalize it, so he just is throwing tantrums, and just being mean. So we've gotten VERY familiar with the time-out chair. Kinda sad that I have to put him in it when I KNOW the reason he's acting up, but I can't just let him go and do the things he's doing just because Daddy's not here anymore.

And Tim has made a decision. He's getting out of the Navy. Which I *KNOW* he wants to do, but it's WAY nerve-wracking, not knowing what's gonna happen in the future (he doesn't have any job prospects yet, just knows that he doesn't want to stay in the Navy anymore). And I know he'll be happier out of the military, it's just scary not having a "back-up plan" to fall back on. And this is happening by the end of April, so I have about 2 months to get house in selling condition (YIKES!), and wait for Tim to find a job. *sigh* Such is the life of me. :)

And then there were three

Teeth that is. Hannah cut her left top tooth either last night or today. YAE! Hopefully this means that "grouchy pissed off baby" is gone for a while (until the other top tooth decides to emerge). But I guess I really should start brushing her teeth now that she has a mulitude of them. *sigh* She IS getting really good at eating REAL (read what mommy, daddy and Matthew eat) food now tho. And she LIKES it-whoo boy, does she like it. Her favorite is spagetti (which I have to admit I have a preference towards as well), but Mac&cheese isn't far down on the list! HAHA.

On the potty front, Matthew is now officially (day time) potty trained! YAE!! Now an $8 pack of pull-ups lasts a full month. WHOO HOO!!!

Last time Tim went out to sea, but one of his fish died while he was gone. Well, he's out to sea AGAIN, and ANOTHER one of his fish died "on my watch". UGH! I swear, he can never go out to sea again, or else the rest of them will die, I'm afraid!! LOL. And this is after he bought his $1000 fish tank, so they'd have more room to swim around in. WHOOPS! Grr. So I can keep his kids alive, but I can't keep some stupid fish alive? WTF is wrong with me! haha. Oh well...

On a better note, Matthew is (basically) totally potty trained! YAE!! He's still not night trained, but that's not EVEN an issue right now. I'm gonna not worry about that for a LOOOOONG time. I'm saving SO much on diapers, I'm doing a jig. HAHA. Of course, washing "oops" underpants (we're having about 1 "oops" a day now-no biggie) is gonna wring up a load on my water bill, but still. I'm HAPPY!
